Narrow Places is a site-specific, immersive dance theatre project co-directed by Amii LeGendre & Carey McKinley Foster. Part treasure hunt, part performance, and part gallery, the artists take spectators on an adventure where they interact, engage, witness and experience the art. It dynamically blends theatre with movement, image and narrative into a compelling adventure. To learn more, visit: http://narrowplaces.weebly.com

FRESH KILLED THEATER PRESENTS HANNA PAJALA-ASSEFA'S
"THE SHOWING" & FINNISH DANCE FILM PROGRAM
“The Showing” is a site-specific dance performance made for a private house. The artist constructs the piece assuming that house is for sale. The audience is invited inside by the artist who takes on a character of a real estate agent keen to sell the house to the audience. However, the agent’s presentation quickly transforms from official to personal revealing more details about the agent than the home she is trying to sell. Partly-improvised, full of humour and warmth, “The Showing” is dealling with ideas of femininity, fragility, strength in everyday life.
Pajala-Assefa also presented a program of dance films by Finnish filmmakers and choreographers:
KOTKA (EAGLE) (7 min, 1962) by the pioneer of Finnish experimental film Eino Ruutsalo and a dancer Riitta Vainio.
LIIKKEEN MIELI (Mind Embodied) (7.5 min, 2007) by Seppo Rustanius. Dancer: Milla Koistinen, Choreography: Anu Rajala
365 DAYS - REIJO KELA VIDEODIEARY (18 min, 1999-2006) - a multl-awarded film by Reijo Kela.
MUURAHAINEN (ANT) (23 min, 2010) by Kimmo Alakunnas. Dancers: Jaakko Nieminen, Kimmo Alakunnas
